ANZAC CHALLENGE 2018

ANZAC CHALLENGE SUN 25th APRIL 2018 24A little sparse on numbers with a total of 6 skippers attending the ANZAC challenge with a good relaxing sail but with the light variable winds not a day to lay odds as it was a matter of being in the right place at the right time.

As seen by the scores we had close sailing with our local Mike only one point behind me and with some very close racing and pursuits from the silent but deadly Scott. John unfortunately didn’t get to show his form due to the dreaded mechanical issues. A Blowfly hit the Manly waters once again with our new comer Barry Jarman, welcome to the club showing some good form and an immaculate boat, not bad for 9yrs old. Due to lack of breeze not enthusiasm we abandoned racing following the sixth race.

Thanks to Bruce for his support with photos, scoring and arranging the ANZAC trophy (I have a space in my office) and the tins of delicious ANZAC biscuits.

Having not attended for a while it was great catching up with those attending and I look forward to seeing the rest of you soon.
